"The Ridge" is one of the best kept secrets in Western PA. Located in the Laurel Highlands, at one of the highest elevation, boast some of the best skiing conditions. The unique mountain ridge captures varying snow bands that arrive from the lake effect snows, and storms traveling up from the east. When lower elevations are bare, you might be surprised that we are getting snow and still have a base.
Each year Riversport operates the DCNR Concession at Laurel Ridge State Park in Rockwood, PA. Laurel Ridge Ski Center is open from November to April and we depend on natural snowfall to operate over 30 km of trails. There are 5 different ski trails to choose from and we offer both Classical or Diagonal Track Skiing to wider lanes for Skate Skiing. Our Trail systems accommodate every level of skier from beginner to advanced to the pure back country enthusiast.

PACCSA is the PA Cross Country Ski Association. www.paccsa.org This organization is the main sponsor of the PA Nordic Ski Championships held at Laurel Ridge. Their efforts and support have also introduced many to the sport of XC Skiing. In appreciation members receive a discount from Laurel Ridge XC Ski Center.
