Our main Store, Instructional, and Rental location is right next to the Youghiogheny bridge on 281. We are across the river from the Outflow campground, and next to the Lucky Dog Cafe.
Directions From East: Take I-76 West (PA TurnPike) Exit at Somerset (exit 10) drive straight from the toll booth to main intersection and follow 281 South signs to Confluence, PA (24 miles). Continue to follow 281 South through town. Then 281 S will take you across the Castleman River bridge and we are located just on the left before you cross the Yough River Bridge (next to the Lucky Dog Cafe)
Directions From Ohio & West:Take I-76 East (PA Turnpike) Exit at Donegal (old exit 9) turn Left out of toll booth and drive 1.5 miles to 711/381 intersection. Follow 711 to Normalville, then turn left onto 381 and continue to Ohiopyle. In Ohiopyle take Sugarloaf Road (between boater change house parking lots). Sugarloaf Road brings you to 281. Take a left, and continue down the hill on 281 N . You will cross the Youghigheny River Bridge. We are located on the Right (next to the Lucky Dog Cafe)
****At the end of August, We passed on the great times and memories of the Riversport camp to our friends at the Paddler's Lane B&B next door. As Dan and Robin have purchased the property, they are still leaving the location as a campground with bathroom and shower house available to campers. Please feel free to contact them at 814-395-9555 for any inquires. Everything is still the same, but under a new ownership. And the price is still right at $3.00 per person/ per night****
-Camp is open from April 1 until October 31.
-Primative Tent Camping with Fire Pits (Please Pack Out Trash to Riversport Store's Dumpster)
-Shower house/ Change House with flush toilets and hot/cold water.
-Camping fee is $3.00 per person per night. Please pay at the box, or at Paddler's Lane B&B. Note that Riversport students still need to pay for camping.
-The area is set up for tent camping for the most part, although small trailers and tent campers can get in. Car campers and trailers please stay in the parking area. No cars are allowed out in the main camping area.
Directions to Paddler's Lane Campground (Previously known as Riversport's Camp) : Come to Confluence via either route 281 north or south or route 523 south. All routes converge on the town square where Hartman's Gas station is located-- continue past the gas station, cross a small bridge over Laurel hill Creek, bear left, and follow this road for about two miles out of town-This road parallels the Yough River until you come to a railroad crossing. DO NOT CROSS THE TRACKS. Make a left tun at the" Riversport Sign" next to the railroad tracks and follow the dirt road back to our camp. You may drive along the driveway through the camp, stop, unload, and then park in the lot.
NOTE: DO NOT CAMP IN THE WOODS OR ON THE BEACHES BY THE RIVER. UNLOAD VEHICLE ON THE MAIN CIRCULAR DRIVE, AND DO NOT DRIVE ONTO GRASS.
***Quite often paddlers meet here and hook up for shuttles or paddling partners. There is excellent fishing right on the property, and a swimming beach is located on the property.
